Greer Foundation Scholarship
The Greer Foundation has partnered with Wilbur Wright College to financially support students enrolled in the Engineering and Computer Science Program.
Beginning in the Fall 2024 academic year, the Greer Foundation Scholarship will annually award 15 Wilbur Wright students who meet the following scholarship qualifications and criteria:
a) Pursuing the Engineering pathway at Wilbur Wright College, and intend to transfer to a four-year institution. Students must complete a bachelor degree within four (4) years.
b) Enrolled no less than 12 credit hours.
c) Minimum GPA of 3.0. For incoming first-year students, if a GPA at City Colleges of Chicago is not established, a high school GPA can be used.
d) In good academic standing at Wilbur Wright College.
e) Scholarships are last-dollar, non-refundable and may only be used towards tuition, books, and fees.
f) A student recipient is eligible for the scholarship support for up to two consecutive academic years at Wilbur Wright College provided they continue to meet the established criteria above.
Students that complete their Engineering pathway associate degree at Wright College may be eligible for additional Greer Foundation Transfer Scholarship funds at Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Illinois-Chicago or University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Eligibility of students that transfer to other institutions that offer engineering degrees will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The award amount at the transfer institution is $5,000 per year.

- A requirement of the Greer Foundation Scholarship is to eventually transfer to a 4-year institution majoring in a STEM-related field. Please describe the steps you have taken or will take to ensure a successful transfer to a 4-year institution after you complete your degree at CCC.
