REDMOND FOUNDATION

REDMOND FOUNDATION

Redmond’s Building The Next Generation Scholarship Fund was launched in 2017 with City Colleges of Chicago, and Redmond Foundation was established in 2019. The Foundation formalized partnerships with Chicago Public Schools & City Colleges of Chicago to fund programming and scholarships for women and minorities interested in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (AEC) careers. Programming is intentionally focused on Chicago’s South and West-side neighborhoods, where decades of disinvestment and marginalization have created barriers for women and minorities to fully participate and thrive in professional careers. Programs funded by Redmond Foundation aim to reduce those barriers to entry and to provide opportunities for students to pursue meaningful, rewarding AEC careers.

Building The Next Generation Scholarship Fund – Redmond Foundation created and maintains the Building The Next Generation Scholarship for City Colleges of Chicago Foundation. This fund is available to female students at Kennedy-King College in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood studying in the Construction Management programs. Scholarship funds are refundable and can be used to supplement students’ costs of living and studying above and beyond tuition costs provided it does not exceed the cost of attendance. The fund is DACA friendly.
