Abbey Family Fund Scholarship

Established by the Abbey Family Fund he scholarship will help defray the costs of tuition, books and fees for students of Kennedy-King College, Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute, or Dawson Technical Institute pursuing associate degrees or certificates in culinary arts, construction or related fields.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have a cumulative 2.75 GPA or higher
• Must have completed 12 credit hours
• Pursuing associate degrees or certificates in culinary arts, construction or related fields
• Attend Kennedy-King College, Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute or at Dawson Technical Institute
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester
• Associates degree students must demonstrate intent to transfer to a four-year college by utilizing Transfer Center services
• GED graduate or High School diploma
• Must be a resident of the City of Chicago and eligible for in-district tuition rates

Contingent on available funding:

• To renew, GPA and credit hours must be maintained
• The two-term scholarship assists students with pursuing an Associates degree in Construction Management or a certificate in a related program
• Scholarship support will continue through degree or certificate completion
